• Stop Trying • Start Doing 365

Thursday, July 20, 2017…As the wise Yoda said, “Do or do not, there is no try”. Either you are doing something or you are not doing something, please don’t fool yourself by using the word try.  I often ask clients to “try” and pick up an object in my office such as a tissue box or candle holder.  They will pick the object up and I will say, “no, don’t pick it up, try”. They will then hold on to it without moving it, and I will say, “now you’re not doing anything, try and pick it up”.  This is when they get frustrated and confused and look at me, which is a reflection of what our brains are doing when tell it to try and do something. Be honest with yourself, you are either going to do something or not do it, but please let go of the “lie of try” ~Priya
